What I do at Duke: I head up the team installing the hospital-billing portion of Maestro Care. Over 30 years, Duke has created many different clinical care computer systems, each tailored to its job. With Maestro Care, we are replacing about 80 percent of all the computerized systems with one system so that information is more easily shared. Our team's job is to make sure the hospital billing portion works when we go live with that part in July 2013.

Something most people don't know about me: My father was the charge d'affaires for Taiwan and was stationed in Bangkok, Thailand, when I was born. Growing up, I lived in the Philippines, Taiwan, Jamaica and Miami.

How I got my job at Duke: A headhunter got me an interview at WakeMed, but when I came down from New Jersey to interview I went to Monster.com and saw a job at Duke's Patient Revenue Management Organization. I uploaded my application, and a few days later, got a call for an interview at Duke.

When I'm not at work I like to: Spend time with my family. We just came back from a road trip to Chicago. We drove straight through for 16 hours to get there.

The most recent book I read: "Area 51" by Annie Jacobsen.  It is about the drones and stealth fighter planes developed at the top-secret military base in Nevada.

The music I'm most likely to be caught listening to: The Beatles or some other classic rock.

A memorable moment at work: I decided to invite Dr. Dzau, the president of the health system, to one of our PRMO Work Culture brownbag lunches, and he e-mailed me back the very same day to accept the invitation. We had a wonderful lunch with him where he talked about his life. It was a special experience.

What I love about Duke: It gives me the opportunity - and the resources - to learn about so many different processes within the health care system.

If I could have one superpower it would be: The ability to walk into a place like Duke Children's Hospital and miraculously heal the kids without anyone knowing it was me doing it.

If I had $5 million I would: Donate a large portion of it to programs for the homeless and hungry. The rest I would probably use to put my kids through school. One thing I wouldn't do is quit my job. I just can't see myself doing nothing.
