On Nov. 10, President Richard Brodhead sent the following invitation Duke faculty, students and staff:

Dear members of the Duke community,

Recent incidents at Duke and elsewhere have led all of us to reflect on our aspirations as a community.  I invite all students, faculty and staff to join Provost Sally Kornbluth, Dean Valerie Ashby and me for an open conversation about these issues on Friday, November 13 at noon in Page Auditorium.  Please come prepared to listen, engage, and speak with your fellow Duke colleagues.  I look forward to your participation.
