In celebration of Duke's Centennial year, share stories of your family members who have also worked at Duke over the years

For Cindy Detomo, a longtime Clinical Nurse, family history and Duke history are intertwined.

In addition to her more than three decades of caring for patients, Cindy Detomo’s husband, Paul Detomo, worked at the Duke University Police Department for 30 years.

Her father-in-law, Paul Detomo Sr., worked with Duke Athletics. Her daughter, Emma Carter, works in the Duke Divinity School.

“Our family is deeply embedded at Duke,” said Cindy Detomo.
